This modern condo living room was transformed into a warm, rustic space with new paint, a custom Crate & Barrel couch, and a all-wall bookshelf featuring a barnwood shadowbox desk.

This homeowner continued a modern rustic style into the kitchen and dining area. Surprisingly, not much was changed to make this room really pop - a new paint job and beautiful ceramic tile was all the kitchen needed to stand out.

A homeowner purchased an old rowhouse in need of much updating in Washington, D.C. This before photo shows the basic walls and outdated staircase.

The D.C. homeowner wanted an entirely new staircase rail and to remove the carpet.

The kitchen at our D.C. project needed to be completely gutted.

This after photo shows a nearly unrecognizable new stairway at the D.C. remodel project. The homeowner chose a light grey wood plank to cover the walls, and REstory designed and built a custom staircase using old rail ties sourced from Detroit.

Norm from REstory crafted an easy-to-move record player console table using remaining rail ties that weren't used on the staircase.

Using a reclaimed countertop from a salvage yard, new cabinets from Ikea, and custom reclaimed wood open shelving, the kitchen at the D.C. project turned out even better than the homeowner had imagined. The kitchen also ties in with the homeowner's rustic industrial style.
